Educational Philosophy

My educational Philosophy is mainly progressivism, earning through experiences and hands-on activities. My students will be able to participate in activities that focus more on creating, for example creating their own stories, math problems, and more. There will be a topic the students will take from to bring their ideas to life, which also invites time for discussions and constructive criticism. Not only will they learn from me, but they can learn from their own creations and ideas.  My educational philosophy is also essentialism. I believe that students should be taught material that they will most certainly need. This is why I will include essential objects in some topics or I will use real-life situations. One thing I will use is "groups" students will be put into groups during certain activities and be given a task to complete. Group work teaches students how to communicate and share ideas. Technology

Technology can be seen as a big distraction in class, but I consider it a healthy one when it is used for educational purposes. The devices I would allow in my classroom are smart boards, laptops, tablets, and phones. When it comes to technology in classrooms it is important to go over rules, I will inform my students of the consequences they will deal with if they are using these devices in an improper manner, and they will know that devices should only be seen when I say they are allowed and for educational purposes only.  I will utilize technology in my classroom by using digital games and books, videos, polls, audio podcasts, and digital art. Students can use technology to create powerpoints or shareable documents, which can later be displayed on a smart board for presentation.  Digital platforms can assist me in getting my students engaged or keeping them on task.
